The nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society installed its newest chapter Tuesday during 福利亚洲国产精品’s Convocation for Honors, where faculty and staff members of Phi Beta Kappa were charged with upholding the society’s values by committing themselves to intellectual freedom, the pursuit of knowledge and the ideal of excellence in scholarship in the liberal arts and sciences.

Catherine McNeela named William S. Long Professor

Catherine McNeela, professor of performing arts and coordinator of 福利亚洲国产精品's music theatre program, has been named the university's William S. Long Professor, an honor named for the institution's first president. McNeela's appointment was made by President Leo M. Lambert in recognition of her 20 years of outstanding teaching, scholarship and leadership in developing Elon’s nationally recognized Music Theatre program.

Documentary by Elon alum to be aired on One Africa TV

School of Communications announces leadership appointments

The School of Communications on Wednesday announced the appointments of two associate deans, with associate professors Don Grady and Kenn Gaither assuming their new responsibilities on June 1. Associate professor Jessica Gisclair will succeed Grady as the school’s department chair.

Allen Gant receives top Elon award for business leadership
