President Leo M. Lambert has appointed Brooke Barnett, associate professor of communications, to a two-year term as Faculty Administrative Fellow and Assistant to the President. She will begin her duties June 1.

“Diversity” has become a buzzword on college campuses that misses a larger point, said activist and BET personality Jeff Johnson, who visited campus Saturday for ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s inaugural Diversity Leadership Conference. More should be done to foster greater community, he said, and responsibility for that rests with student leaders.
