Elon students, faculty and staff helped clear debris, trees and other material during an April 30 tornado clean-up service trip to Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· junior Amber Mathis has received a Newman Civic Fellows Award from Campus Compact, a national organization that aims to improve community life and to educate college students on civic and social responsibility. She is one of 135 students from 30 states to receive the award.

Students and staff from ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· gathered May 1 in Graham, N.C., for the dedication of the 20th Habitat for Humanity home built by Elon volunteers since the international nonprofit program first established a chapter at the university in 1989.

Shaw University in Raleigh has requested ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s assistance for helping to clean up from the damage caused by the tornadoes earlier this month. The Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement has a tornado relief service trip planned for Saturday, April 30.

The Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement organized a group of fourteen volunteers on April 23 to assist with tornado relief in regions of North Carolina affected by recent storms.

The Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement at ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· is coordinating a trip on Saturday, April 23, to Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C., for students who wish to help clear debris from the recent tornados in surrounding communities.

Campus Kitchen at ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·, a project of the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement, needs your help for delivery shifts!

The Campus Kitchen at ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· (CKEU) is accepting donations of brownie mix throughout the month of April.
