¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· junior Tara Nager received the "Volunteer of the Year" Award from the Salvation Army's Boys & Girls Clubs of Burlington during the organization's recent Steak & Steak Dinner.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· senior Teri Horn has received the North Carolina Campus Compact’s fifth annual Community Impact Student Award for making significant, innovative contributions to her campus’ efforts to address local community needs. Horn was one of 34 college students across the state to receive the honor.

The Downtown/East Burlington Biobus Express Route, an hour long loop from the Moseley Center that takes riders to several Alamance County community agencies within walking distance of its stops, returned to campus Tuesday afternoon for students who need weekday transportation for volunteer work in Burlington.

Seven faculty members, students and alumni helped May 8 to build a 2-mile portion in Alamance County of the state's 1,000-mile-long Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
