A recent series of blog posts from the Center for Engaged Learning captures highlights and stories from new research on mentoring for learner success.

Edited by �������޹�����Ʒ faculty members Caroline J. Ketcham, Anthony G. Weaver and Jessie L. Moore, “Cultivating Capstones: Designing High-Quality Culminating Experiences for Student Learning” delves into capstone experiences, identifying characteristics that contribute to worthwhile learning opportunities and how institutions might best serve students.

Over the last two years, Ketcham has written thought-provoking blog posts for the Center for Engaged Learning focusing on ableism in academia, designing programs and services inclusive of all students, and mentoring across difference.

"Writing Beyond the University: Preparing Lifelong Learners for Lifewide Learning" was published by the Center for Engaged Learning.

Moore, director of the Center for Engaged Learning and Professor of English, was awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award in 2021 and presented her research on engaged learning during the lecture on Wednesday, April 19.

The Faculty Factor: Developing Faculty Engagement with Living-Learning Communities edited by Jennifer E. Eidum and Lara Lomicka was published by Stylus Publishing in collaboration with Elon’s Center for Engaged Learning.

The Center for Engaged Learning (CEL) invites applications from current �������޹�����Ʒ first-year students for a three-year (Summer 2023 – Spring 2026) research collaboration on Mentoring Meaningful Learning Experiences.

Steven Mintz, a professor from the University of Texas, used "Relationship-Rich Education" as one of two examples of books that speak to the power of relationships in undergraduate education in his opinion piece for Inside Higher Ed.

Trocki, associate professor of mathematics, has been selected as the 2023-2025 Center for Engaged Learning (CEL) Scholar.

The workshop is making a difference for Elon and Alamance County communities and is specially designed to help participants generate a mentoring constellation, explore opportunities for enhancing their connections and leave with next-step strategies for cultivating a lifelong network of support.
