Students at Elon聽welcome Shabbat in a variety of ways that build community and celebrate聽the dynamic diversity of Jewish traditions. At Elon, we have a meaningful way to say 鈥淪habbat Shalom鈥 for everyone.

Hillel offers Shabbat every week, featuring a blend聽of聽music聽& meaning that is student-led and staff-supported. After the service, we gather for a communal meal or a festive oneg.

At these different kinds of gatherings, students聽may enjoy a delicious meal聽complete with聽challah, candles, kiddush, singing, and the traditional beauty of the sabbath, an oneg, or just a casual gathering in a dorm room with food and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First Friday Shabbats are fun and festive meals open to all students. Our intimate Table for Chai dinners are intentionally small dinner gatherings featuring meaningful conversation and a feeling of home.聽Our oneg under the stars offers an opportunity to gather for sweet treats in the comfort of the backyard at the Sklut Hillel Center.
