Here's a look at where some of the 2017 School of Communications graduates are headed following Commencement.

The journalism major will work alongside professional journalists to cover the National Association of Black Journalists’ convention held Aug. 9-13, 2017, in New Orleans.

During a May 3 awards ceremony, Alexis de Groot ’17 and Kelly Siewers ’17 were recognized with Major of the Year Awards and alumnus Brad Holloman ’09 served as a guest speaker, sharing advice from his career in the sports industry.

For their efforts organizing the SPJ Region 2 conference, Associate Professor Anthony Hatcher and Director of Student Media Colin Donohue were named the organization's Members of the Month.

The Interactive Media graduate returned to campus to summarize her career path from Elon to Amazon, where she starts a new position next week.

Associate Professor Rich Landesberg and nine School of Communications students traveled this week to New York City, touring the facilities of several major network news organizations and meeting with high-level broadcast news professionals, including Brian Williams and Michael Radutzky, members of Elon’s Communications Advisory Board.

The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· alumna was elevated to vice president of multiplatform content and partnerships at Authentic Entertainment, overseeing the Emmy Award-winning production company’s creative development efforts for original video content.

The Society of Professional Journalists Region 2 gathering featured the Mark of Excellence Awards results, of which several Elon students were winners.

CNN's newest documentary, "Unseen Enemy," was edited by Erin Barnett, a 2009 Elon graduate whose previous documentary work includes "Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine." 

Fifteen board members and guests visited campus on March 31 to share their professional insight and commemorate the completion of the school’s expansion project.
