, hosted by the Center for Organizational Analytics, will explore the role and impact of analytics in society. The free event will be held on March 24 in Lakeside Hall.

Cynthia Rudin, recipient of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence鈥檚 2022 Squirrel AI Award for Artificial Intelligence for the Benefit of Humanity, will kick off the day with a session on interpretable machine learning. Rudin is a professor at Duke University as well as a three-time winner of the INFORMS Innovative Applications in Analytics Award and a fellow of the American Statistical Association, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence. Her work has been featured in news outlets such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and Boston Globe.

A panel discussion with representatives from local nonprofit organizations Mothers Milk Bank, Orange County Animal Shelter, StepUp Durham and Corral Riding Academy
Kevin Trapani, CEO of The Redwoods Group and Martha and Spencer Love School of Business executive-in-residence, will deliver an executive wrap-up at the end of the day.
