Who is WEEE?

Widely known by its acronym WEEE, this initiative serves as a support and networking group for Elon alumni working in Los Angeles and Elon undergraduates seeking careers in the entertainment industry. The mentorship program creates opportunities and programming where female students and alumni can create connections across the university鈥檚 schools, departments and majors.

Mission Statement

Women of the Elon Entertainment Empire (WEEE) seeks to serve as a key support and networking group for Elon alumnae working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and Elon undergraduates seeking a career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and operates according to three core tenets.

We, as a collective, are building a space to sponsor, coach and mentor, to support and to accelerate both female students and alumnae.


Board Members

Paige Hullett headshot

Paige Hullett 鈥 President

Paige Hullett is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker whose experience growing up as a triplet informs her passion for character-driven stories that celebrate individuality. Her film credits include “Yes, God, Yes” (SXSW Jury Award winner), a starring role in a Blackhall Studios original feature, and UPtv鈥檚 “Infamously in Love.” Her television work includes FOX鈥檚 “STAR,” a recurring role on Tyler Perry鈥檚 “If Loving You Is Wrong,” and Peacock鈥檚 “The Five-Star Weekend.”

Paige co-wrote and directed the short film “Birds, Bees, and Threes,” based on a true story from her childhood. It went on to screen at festivals nationwide, including the Academy Award鈥搎ualifying Austin Film Festival. She has also served as an associate producer for the IAMA Theatre Company, supported by patron of the arts Shonda Rhimes.

She is the author of “Set of Three: Tips to Care for You and Me,” written from the perspective of both a triplet and a triplet mom. She currently serves as president of WEEE, where she helps celebrate Elon and support women working in entertainment.

Mia Gina茅 Watkins

Mia Gina茅 Watkins is a public speaker, writer, and award-winning filmmaker with over a decade in the games industry. She was named one of She Plays Games鈥 2022 Top 100 Women in Gaming. She began at PlayStation as a video editor, working on titles including “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy,” “Death Stranding,” “The Last of Us Part II,” and “Days Gone.” She later moved into internal communications at PlayStation Studios, where she created developer-focused content. One project became a five-part documentary series for “Days Gone,” produced with PlayStation Visual Arts and Bend Studio, reaching over 138,000 YouTube views. She is currently a program manager at Riot Games.

Mia has been active in advocacy and community building, serving as co-lead for Black@PlayStation, where she organized panels, town halls, and fireside chats featuring industry and entertainment figures. She also supported Black in Gaming鈥檚 annual award show and helped establish an award honoring Jerry Lawson. She later served as Director of Community Development for the Black in Gaming Foundation and has volunteered with its Los Angeles chapter. She frequently speaks to students in St. Louis and mentors emerging talent. Mia has also moderated panels at major industry events including GDC, D.I.C.E., and Comic-Con. She is currently working on a fantasy novel.

Patterson Huggins

Patterson Huggins is a Los Angeles filmmaker with 10-plus years of experience in the industry. She currently works as an assistant production coordinator for film and television. Her television credits include Netflix鈥檚 Emmy-nominated “Nobody Wants This,” HBO鈥檚 “Rooster,” Hulu鈥檚 “Clipped,” and Freeform鈥檚 “Grownish.” Her feature work includes Netflix鈥檚 “The Fifth Wheel,” “Unfrosted,” and “Purple Hearts.” She also had the pleasure of working on Miley Cyrus鈥檚 visual album for the Grammy-nominated “Something Beautiful.” Prior to working as an assistant production coordinator, she worked as a development and production coordinator at David Ayer鈥檚 Cedar Park Entertainment.

Even after 10 years in Los Angeles, Patterson is still a Carolina girl at heart. She recently stumbled upon the line dancing community, which has become an important part of her life. She is passionate about music and enjoys seeing live bands and musicals.

She is proud to be a part of the WEEE family and is excited to continue supporting the passions and careers of her fellow Elon alumnae.

Leah Schultz

Leah Schultz

Leah Schultz is a natural born storyteller with a double major in Cinema & Television Arts and Strategic Communications from 福利亚洲国产精品, and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. During Elon’s LA program, she interned under Mary Ann Marino, former Head of Production at Tim Burton Productions (“Mars Attacks!,” “James and the Giant Peach”) and Amazon Studios, getting a front row seat to how great films get made. After graduating, Leah joined Playful Studios as a Narrative Lead and Live Event Producer under founder Paul Bettner (“Words with Friends,” “Lucky’s Tale”), bringing stories to life at the intersection of gaming and live entertainment. She now works as a Production and Social Coordinator at Soulprint Media, a new studio and publishing house built around sharing stories that matter. When she’s not in production mode, you can find her watching comedy, performing on stage, or exploring whatever city she’s in one restaurant at a time.

Elizabeth Baldridge

Elizabeth Baldridge is a lawyer at the firm of Jassy Vick Carolan LLP. Her practice focuses on media and First Amendment law, and she frequently advises newspapers, digital media companies and television production companies. She is also involved in public records work and litigates the right of access to public records in California. Before joining Jassy Vick Carolan, she practiced law at an Am Law 100 firm, clerked for a federal judge, and received her law degree from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. While at Berkeley, she was a Fellow of the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology.

Madeline Carlin

Madeline Carlin currently works in original film development and acquisition for Amazon Studios. She previously worked for the talent agency William Morris Endeavor in its motion picture literary department. As an Elon student, Madeline participated in the Elon in LA summer program and attended the Sundance Film Festival through the Communications Fellows program. On campus she participated in the elondocs documentary production program, was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, and served as a Periclean scholar. Madeline feels passionately about bringing more women鈥檚 stories to the screen and looks forward to uniting alumnae voices in achieving this goal through WEEE.

Joyce Choi

Joyce Choi works in the features department at Imagine Entertainment. She previously worked in the TV scripted department at the talent agency William Morris Endeavor. Before graduating, she participated in the Elon in LA spring program, as well as the Sundance Film Festival program. At Elon, she majored in cinema and television arts and minored in leadership studies as an Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellow, and fell in love with film development and production along the way. She channeled her passion for entertainment and inclusion into founding the on-campus portion of WEEE, and is so excited to continue the mission of empowering other women in the industry in Los Angeles.

Nneka Enurah

Nneka Enurah serves as the head of development and partnerships for the multiplatform media company FBE. In her role, Enurah聽cultivates new relationships in the digital and TV space with FBE鈥檚 unique brand of entertainment and storytelling. Previously, she served as聽a digital development executive for Hello Sunshine. Nneka is a versatile entertainment professional with experience in physical production, creative development and content strategy. She specializes in creating premium content including branded entertainment, lifestyle, docu-follow and food-related programming. Prior to joining Hello Sunshine, Enurah served as vice president of multiplatform content and partnerships at Authentic Entertainment.

Lauren Fisher

Lauren Fisher is currently an executive assistant at Ray Hughes Management. In her role, Lauren oversees and facilitates the execution of talent brand deals with companies such as NIKE, Sephora, Farfetch and Nintendo. Previously, she was an assistant at Encompass Music Partners, where she worked on projects such as 鈥淔rozen 2,鈥 鈥淲atchmen,鈥 鈥淢ulan鈥 and 鈥淗ollywood.鈥 At Elon, Lauren studied music production and arts administration, serving as the tour manager for the Elon Music Ambassadors and vice president of management for Limelight Records.

Julia Gallagher

Julia Gallagher is a Los Angeles-based actor with a BFA in acting from 福利亚洲国产精品. She鈥檚 most known for her role as 鈥淢eesha鈥 on Nickelodeon鈥檚 鈥淕ame Shakers.鈥 Her credits also include a recurring guest star on Snapchat鈥檚 original series 鈥淪olve,鈥 Amazon鈥檚 鈥淛ust Add Magic,鈥 national commercials for McDonald鈥檚 and Credit Karma, and being the spokesperson for Sound Transit. A graduate of Second City Chicago and UCB LA鈥檚 improv programs, Julia鈥檚 improv videos with Streamy Award-winning YouTube channel BlackBoxTV and PrankVs.Prank have more than 18 million views. Currently, she is starring in the young adult drama 鈥淟ost & Found鈥 streaming on Amazon. She said she is excited to work alongside such an incredible group of women in LA and continue building the amazing WEEE community.

Rachel James

Rachel James

Originally from Pickerington, Ohio, Rachel James grew up with a passion for dance, performing both competitively and professionally throughout her teenage years. She later attended 福利亚洲国产精品, where she double majored in Dance Performance and Arts Administration. Following graduation, she began her career in Los Angeles at one of the industry鈥檚 leading dance agencies, Bloc Talent Agency, working across both the dance and choreography departments. She then transitioned into the digital space at DanceOn as Director of Talent & Social. Now at More Meaningful Voices as Head of Digital, Rachel is known for advocating for talent while building authentic, strategic partnerships that deliver meaningful results for brands. Rachel is incredibly thankful for her time at Elon, her friends, family and teachers who supported her throughout the years.

Kelsey McCabe

Kelsey McCabe is currently an associate casting producer with Magilla Entertainment in New York City. During her years in casting, she has worked on unscripted projects for Netflix, HGTV, Discovery Channel and multiple development projects. While at Elon, Kelsey was an acting major and participated in 鈥淓lon Tonight,鈥 Instant Laughter, AOII, Autism Speaks U, and served as a tour guide. Kelsey is still involved with the Elon community, serving as the community outreach chair for Elon鈥檚 NYC Alumni Board. Her goal in joining WEEE is to start a NYC branch, providing opportunities to alumni on the East Coast to expand this amazing empire.

Hunter McCormick

Hunter McCormick is a casting associate who has been paving her way in the industry the past five years. She graduated from 福利亚洲国产精品 with a BFA in acting and BA in arts administration. Shortly after, she began working under Christal Karge (鈥淛ustified,鈥 鈥淭he Pacific鈥) and Marisa Ross (鈥淗ow I Met Your Mother鈥) in Chicago. During that time, she worked on a variety of television and film including 鈥淓mpire鈥 (Fox), 鈥淭he Chi鈥 (Showtime), 鈥淐hicago Med鈥 (NBC), 鈥淣ext鈥 (Fox), 鈥淪oundtrack鈥 (Netflix), 鈥淭he Thing 福利亚洲国产精品 Harry鈥 (Freeform), 鈥淗ala鈥 (Overbrook Ent./Apple TV) and more. Today, she resides in Los Angeles where she works with Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer Casting on 鈥淕rey鈥檚 Anatomy鈥 and its spinoff, 鈥淪tation 19.鈥 Hunter鈥檚 favorite part of living in LA is the Elon community. Despite the challenges of relocating, WEEE has made LA feel like home, she said.

Emily Merlin

Emily Merlin works in original programming development at Crown Media Family Networks, home of The Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Prior to Hallmark, she worked at Mavrick Artists Agency and at CBS, contributing to the story team for the hit series 鈥淏ig Brother.鈥 She received a BFA in acting and has since worked as a SAG-AFTRA actress in numerous film and television productions in Los Angeles. While at Elon, Emily was vice president of Alpha Psi Omega, served in the choir for Catholic Campus Ministry, and starred in multiple main stage and communications productions. She participated in both the Elon in LA and Elon in NYC summer programs, completing internships at the entertainment advertising company AKA NYC, as well as Management, a literary management agency, and Mavrick Artists Agency. She plans to develop, produce and act in content that lifts people鈥檚 spirits and tells compelling women鈥檚 stories. She said she is thrilled to collaborate with the members of WEEE to expand its opportunities and bring their stories to life.

Sarah Teicher

Sarah Teicher is a public relations strategist with a passion for storytelling. Teicher currently resides in Los Angeles, where she works on the publicity team at Warner Bros. Television. In her role, she assists with facilitating press requests, managing relationships with key studio talent and producers, and supporting the studio鈥檚 various social media pages. In her role, she reports directly to the head of communications, publicity and social media. During the past two years, Sarah has worked on the launch of global consumer facing campaigns such as Friends 25th anniversary and DC FanDome. She most recently worked on the launch of FOX sitcom, 鈥淐all Me Kat,鈥 starring Mayim Bialik. Prior to her role at Warner Bros, Teicher worked as an account coordinator at Metro Public Relations, where she managed the day-to-day publicity of various A-List celebrity clients.

Asha Michelle Wilson on campus

Asha Michelle Wilson

Asha Michelle Wilson,聽co-executive producer of Fox鈥檚 animated series 鈥淭he Great North鈥 and writer for FX鈥檚 鈥淎merican Horror Story鈥 and 鈥淎rcher,鈥 has established herself as one of Hollywood鈥檚 dynamic creative voices. Her work spans genres and formats 鈥 from streaming comedies to psychological thrillers 鈥 showcasing her range as both a storyteller and showrunner.聽Originally from Southern Florida, a place where dreams and old people go to die, Wilson knew she wanted to write from a young age and moved to L.A. in pursuit of a television career.聽As part of the School of Communications’ 25th anniversary celebration, Wilson was honored with the 2025 Outstanding Alumna Award for her accomplishments in Hollywood.
