Village Project Testimonies
The Village pushed my child to try harder. It showed her that she is not alone in needed extra support. She does not like to work with me at home so she enjoyed being able to work with people from her classroom! The Elon students were young, vibrant, and very fun to my girl!
It was really amazing to see how much the students remembered from tutoring and see how successful they were able to be in the regular classroom setting because they had prior knowledge and prior practice on the standard. The opportunities for extra practice that students received helped students to pass many phonics skills and helped them to become familiar with academic vocabulary.
I have learned how to adapt my tutoring and mentorship to each individual student. Some students needed more assistance in different areas, and learning how to cater my tutoring towards that was important.
