Belk Library added a rare volume to its archives this fall when an Elon alumna donated to the university a copy of the first land survey ever completed in England, today considered one of the most important documents of the medieval era.

Students to blog while studying abroad for Winter Term

The Isabella Cannon International Centre is hosting a blog for parents and friends to stay connected with students traveling to nations such as Ghana, Peru and Australia.

Elon featured in Campus Ecology 2010 database

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· has been included in the National Wildlife Federation’s Campus Ecology 2010 campus sustainability case studies, the only database of its kind in the United States to highlight campus climate and sustainability efforts ranging from recycling and energy efficiency to alternative transportation systems and green jobs training programs.

N.C. governor honors Human Service Studies professors

The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Board of Trustees voted Oct. 22 to designate a 56-acre undeveloped tract north of University Drive as the ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Forest, a dedicated land preserve and natural area. The action protects the largest remaining intact forest in the Town of Elon and safeguards thousands of species of plants, animals and other organisms.

Danieley C wins latest POWERless contest

Park Foundation awards grant for Periclean Scholars project

The New York-based Park Foundation has awarded the Periclean Scholars program at ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· a grant to send additional students abroad in January with the goal of producing a short documentary highlighting Sri Lanka’s outlook and actions on water issues, along with its ecological and socio-economic diversity. The film will be part of an environmental summit organized by the Elon students.
