Jonathan Albright, assistant professor of communications, is exploring the connections between websites distributing "fake news" and propaganda and the tools used to track reader preferences. 

Dr. Danieley, who died Tuesday at the age of 92, will be honored in multiple ways during events on Friday, Dec. 2, and Saturday, Dec. 3. 

Since graduating in 1946, Dr. J. Earl Danieley spent 70 years serving ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· and touching the lives of thousands. 

Dr. J. Earl Danieley, 92, president emeritus of ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· and one of North Carolina’s strongest advocates for higher education, died November 29 at the Village at Brookwood in Burlington, N.C.

A fellowship created by ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· in 2008 will help support excellence in ongoing research and creative work by Lauren Kearns, Toddie Peters and Laura Roselle.

The professorship is funded by an endowment from Trustee Edward Doherty and his wife, Joan, of Saddle River, New Jersey.

The test of the outdoor alarm and emergency alert systems by Elon Campus Safety and Police will take place at 10 a.m. and will last about three minutes.

The 220-seat theater is located in the new Dwight C. Schar Hall and was funded by a gift by the Turner family.
