Book, who will become Elon's ninth president on March 1, was welcomed by the Elon community at a gathering in Alumni Gym on Monday, Oct. 9.

Hundreds gathered in Alumni Gym on Monday to hear from the President-elect and trustee leaders who elected her to serve as the university’s ninth president. 

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s ninth president has recorded a video message for all members of the Elon community. 

Constance “Connie” Ledoux Book, provost of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and former ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· faculty member and administrative leader, has been elected the university’s ninth president.

Donors and members of the Elon community came together Friday, Oct. 6, to dedicate the site for Sankey Hall and sign a steel plate to be put into place and remain visible once the building is complete. 

The Elon community is invited to attend the site dedication of Richard W. Sankey Hall at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6. Sankey Hall will be part of an expanded business school. The event will be held in front of the Inman Admissions Welcome Center.

Praised for its Residency-in-Practice Program, Elon Law was featured in a back-to-school issue cover story about law schools "on the cutting edge when it comes to preparing students for the future."
