Love School of Business alumn Hilary Corna '07 will be giving on a presentation titled “How Career Networking Worked For Me” on Tuesday, October 26, 4:15 pm in KOBC Room 353. Her talk is open to ALL LSB students.

�������޹�����Ʒ staff and students made presentations this month at the annual conference of the National Society for Experiential Education held in Charlotte, N.C.

Betty Morgan, an associate professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration and director of the Elon Center for Public Affairs, and Eric Fink, Jennings Professor of Law and Emerging Scholar at the �������޹�����Ʒ School of Law, presented a pre-conference workshop on Legal Issues in Internships and Experiential Learning for the National Society of Experiential Education in early October.

Adam Price wanted to see for himself the daily routine of a software programmer, and when an opportunity arose last spring to intern with a North Carolina firm that coordinates the shipment and storage of goods for corporate clients like Boeing and Sony, the Elon junior moved quickly. His first stop? The Elon Career Center.

In an effort to share relevant, career development information with students and alumni, Career Services has created the “Career Stories” interactive tool. The tool allows viewers to watch interviews of Elon alumni, parents and students discussing common career development issues such as choosing a major, participating in experiential activities, networking and answering difficult interview questions.

Students from Elon College, the College of Arts & Sciences, took part on Sept. 18 in a new initiative from Career Services – a job search “Job Search Camp.” The daylong program gave participants a crash-course on nearly every aspect of how to conduct an effective job search.
