Ashley Joines L’24 received the David Gergen Award for Leadership & Professionalism at Commencement exercises for the Class of 2024 where she was lauded for doing “everything in her power to help all those around her.”

The Hon. Carrie F. Ricci, General Counsel of the United States Army, delivered a Commencement address to the �������޹�����Ʒ School of Law Class of 2024 in which she emphasized the importance of personal relationships, working hard, and kindness.

From their exceptional legal writing and advocacy to service to �������޹�����Ʒ School of Law, members of the Class of 2024 were celebrated in a November 20 evening event that showcased academic and leadership excellence.

Gianna Landrum L’25, Zinyah Robinson L’25, Savannah Stinson L’25, and Kristin Swilley L’25 will be joined by Assistant Professor Chrystal Clodomir in nurturing a culture of belonging and inclusivity among law students in Greensboro and Charlotte.

Savannah Stinson L'25 took home the top prize for students on October 22, 2024, with her original work, "Black Like Me," which won praise from judges and the audience alike in the 6th Annual “High Rhymes & Misdemeanors” Poetry Slam.

Hosted by the student-run Moot Court Board, the 15th Billings, Exum, and Frye National Moot Court Competition featured teams from law schools across the country that argued the constitutional merits of a fictional lawsuit taking aim at a law banning transgender athletes in public schools and colleges.

Kelsey Montgomery L’24, Baleigh Scheibner L’24, and Tyleeah Stanley L’24 will meet regularly over the next year in Charlotte as part of the Kara Farnandez Stoll Inn of Court, a group of attorneys and professors working to improve the ethical quality of legal practice.

The Pro Bono Board teamed with Legal Aid of North Carolina to help low-income seniors who lack legal documents that give family or friends permission to make certain medical decisions on their behalf.
