On Wednesday, March 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., faculty members from the Department of World Languages and Cultures will be available in the Carlton Commons live and via email (languages@elon.edu) to answer student, staff and faculty questions about language majors and minors, area studies programs and global engagement opportunities.

Mina Garcia, associate professor of Spanish, publishes her second book bridging the gap between colonial Mexico and Early Modern Spain.

April Post, Pablo Celis-Castillo and Kristin Lange from the Department of World Languages and Cultures presented their research at the annual convention and expo of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

Spanish and International Studies major Isabel Treanor presented her research for the panel on “(Socio)Political: Where Culture and Genre Meet” at Undergraduate Research Forum at South Atlantic Modern Languages Annual Conference in Birmingham, Alabama.

The altar will be open to the public until Friday, Nov. 2, at 1:30 pm.

Associate Professor of Spanish Mina Garcia presented a paper on "Cervantes and the Immigration Crisis" on Sept. 29.

Elon hosted students and faculty from Elon and regional universities at its third annual Undergraduate Conference on Languages and Cultures on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Faculty members were recognized on Aug. 20 for excellence in mentoring, service and leadership, teaching and scholarship.
