Nine students were inducted into The Iota North Carolina Chapter of the Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society and the Alpha Kappa Delta National Sociology Honor Society during a ceremony and dinner held at Johnston Hall on April 20.

Skelley, a sociology major and criminal justice studies and human services studies doublee minor, presented a study titled “Predicting Attitudes towards the Defund The Police Movement vs. Police Budget Reallocation Reform: An Exploratory Study."

Sociology faculty Rena Zito, Raj Ghoshal and Alexis Franzese presented research at the annual meeting of the Southern Sociological Society from March 29 through April 1 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
