School of Education Dean Ann Bullock was among eight new members announced this week for the group that advises and designs programming for teacher education programs. 

The summer enrichment experience for academically gifted students is facilitated by Elon's Master of Education program, with M.Ed. and special licensure candidates crafting curricula to meet a variety of student needs and goals for the graduate-level capstone course. 

More than 50 Elon undergraduates were joined by several from other colleges and universities participated this summer in SURE, one of Elon's signature undergraduate research opportunities. 

Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, co-authored the article in the peer-reviewed journal Educational Media International. 

Stephen Byrd, associate professor of education and program coordinator for special education,  spoke about education, inclusion and lifelong learning opportunities for adults with disabilities at Peacehaven Community Farm on July 19, 2018.

From July 9-20, Elon is hosting 176 Alamance-Burlington School System students at Summer in the Village, a summer academic preparedness and enrichment program of Elon's It Takes a Village Project. 

The Alamance-Burlington School System Honors Institute at Elon, a collaborative effort between the school system and ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·, is providing a summer enrichment experience for talented and motivated students.

On Monday, June 18, the Master of Education Program welcomed a new cohort to the ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· campus that includes eight studying gifted education and three studying elementary education.

The School of Education will host an orientation for the inaugural cohort of the M.A. in Higher Education program on Aug. 8-10, 2018.
