¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· students and alumni came together to create a minute-long commercial for the American sporting goods brand, which the company promoted and praised on its Facebook page on March 16.

The School of Communications alumnus and a colleague won the biennial Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism for an in-depth program focused on women's health rights and abortion in Texas.

Rachel Southmayd Campbell ’13 and Ashley Fahey '13 were recognized March 14 with 2014 South Carolina Press Association awards. 

The 2015 Nashville Film Festival celebrates "That Other Crazy Thing You Do," a short narrative film written by ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· graduate Michelle Leibel ’14. 

During the last year, ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· graduate Alex Hadden ’13 has worked on a documentary, titled “BRAND: A Second Coming," that features entertainment personality Russell Brand. The film will have its world premiere March 13 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Several ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· graduates earned top honors in the North Carolina Press Association’s 2014 News, Editorial and Photojournalism Contest. The alumni winners, ​led by Kristin Zachary '09 and Scott Muthersbaugh '06, were celebrated at the association's annual Winter Institute Feb. 26.

Students and faculty from ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s School of Communications placed in several awards categories in the 2015 Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts. They will be recognized at the organization's annual conference April 12-15 in Las Vegas.

The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· alumnus and respected broadcaster discussed an array of topics during a stop Feb. 12 in the School of Communications.

The School of Communications graduate launched a fundraising campaign in January to promote his project ‘Gossamer,’ attempting to crack the Hollywood standard of creating original content.

Beginning in January 2015, the School of Communications faculty and Interactive Media master’s program will host a free online course for communications alumni, highlighting the fast-changing topics in mass communication today.
