The School of Communications alumnus and a colleague won the biennial Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism for an in-depth program focused on women's health rights and abortion in Texas.

Communications alumnus' latest project to premiere at South by Southwest

During the last year, ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· graduate Alex Hadden ’13 has worked on a documentary, titled “BRAND: A Second Coming," that features entertainment personality Russell Brand. The film will have its world premiere March 13 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Communications alumni recognized with state journalism awards

Several ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· graduates earned top honors in the North Carolina Press Association’s 2014 News, Editorial and Photojournalism Contest. The alumni winners, ​led by Kristin Zachary '09 and Scott Muthersbaugh '06, were celebrated at the association's annual Winter Institute Feb. 26.

Communications students, faculty recognized by BEA awards competition

Students and faculty from ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s School of Communications placed in several awards categories in the 2015 Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts. They will be recognized at the organization's annual conference April 12-15 in Las Vegas.
