An alum of the year presentation, networking event and StrengthsQuest are all planned for School of Communications alumni.

Ten alumni participated in a Sept. 21 Zoom call to welcome first-year students to Elon and the school’s accelerated training program for news reporting, documentary filmmaking and non-fiction storytelling.

The networking initiative welcomed prospective students and hosted a discussion about Beyoncé’s new movie, “Black Is King,” examining the impact of representation in the media industry.

The Elon alumna served as the guest speaker at a recent meeting of �������޹�����Ʒ’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, discussing her time at Elon, her first job and how she is maintaining her mental health while reporting.
