Assistant Professor Rebecca Bagley and Associate Professor Nicole Triche advised student teams that captured first-place honors in the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication contest.

The associate professor and chair of the Sport Management Department was presented with the association’s annual group service award for her efforts on its JDEI Climate Study Steering Committee. Twenty-eight students were recognized at the end-of-the-year celebration, including the inaugural recipient of the Christopher Edwards II ’18 Award for Sports Journalism, honoring a graduating senior who has established a record of academic success and demonstrated mastery within sports journalism.

The April 19 event, held at �������޹�����Ʒ’s School of Communications, explored the theme of “Sport Sponsorship and Branding in the Digital Age,” and featured a keynote conversation with NASCAR President Steve Phelps.
