Assistant professors of psychology, India Johnson and David Buck, each presented their research as part of the 39th Annual Meeting of Society of Southeastern Social Psychologists (SSSP)

Amy Overman, associate professor of psychology, a faculty member in the neuroscience program and an associate director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, and Alison Richard '16 conducted empirical research on memory that was recently published in a prestigious scientific journal.

The annual conference, which is a scholarly venue to disseminate new knowledge on service-learning and community engagement, was held Sept. 26-28 in New Orleans.

The Department of Psychology is seeking applicants for a new assistant professor position specializing in developmental psychology.  

Nicole Razor '16, a member of the Elon women's basketball team, and Exercise Science Professor Eric Hall looked into how an athlete's perception of pain before an injury factored into how they experienced pain when injured. 

Eric Hall, Paul Miller, Tim Peeples and Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler presented at the CUR Biennial June conference held at the University of South Florida in Tampa. 

The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· researchers published their findings examining how faculty members have turned to academic service-learning to expose students to diverse client populations.

Amy Overman, associate professor of psychology, is awarded ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s first grant from the National Institutes of Health to study age-related changes in memory. 

Elon senior Leah Reece credits community service, coursework and internships as the fuel that ignited her passion for clinical psychology and enhanced her Elon experience.
