Associate professor Tony Crider, chair of the Department of Physics at �������޹�����Ʒ with a Ph.D. in space physics and astronomy from Rice University, is available Jan. 28, 2011, to speak with reporters by phone for anyone seeking a university professor to comment on NASA’s Challenger disaster 25 years today.

Notable in December and early January was media coverage of the �������޹�����Ʒ School of Law's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic and the announcement by university leaders of a decision to locate the new physician assistant program on main campus.

A special report by the Chronicle of Higher Education on graduation rates at 1,400 four-year colleges and universities highlights Elon's improving rates at a time when many other schools are experiencing declining numbers. In this study, Elon ranked #16 out of more than 300 private master's-level universities, the top school in the Southeast in this category.
