The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· faculty member hosted teachers from the Alamance-Burlington School System for a professional development afternoon in the music department's Studio A. 

The largest daily newspaper in central North Carolina called the ensemble's fall concert a program "full of color and masterful playing" and lauded Professor Thomas Erdmann for his conducting.

The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Wind Ensemble "Phoenix Winds" will present the world preimere performance of Kinetic Dance, for two scrap metal birds (inspired by the art installation "Phoenix" from Chinese artist Xu Bing), a newly comissioned work from award winning composer David Clay Mettens at their fall concert this Sunday, November 16 at 7:30pm in McCrary Theater (free admission). 

Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann had a CD review published in a professional women's arts journal.

Construction will begin in December on two projects at ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s Danieley Center residential neighborhood and on an addition for the Department of Music at the Arts West building.
