Two professors in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business recently had their research published in the journal Ethnic and Racial Studies.

The associate professor of economics teamed with the president of a North Carolina think tank to propose a new approach for lowering risks associated with student loans while helping college graduates build wealth.

The professor of economics was awarded the 2014 Distinguished Scholar Award for his work and drive to collaborate and share research.

The winner of this year’s Daniels-Danieley Award for Excellence in Teaching, Tina Das, professor of economics, motivates students to push beyond their limits and take risks.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· parents Ed and Joan Doherty P’07, co-founders of a company that operates dozens of family restaurant franchises, offered wisdom May 23 to Master of Business Administration candidates gathered in Whitley Auditorium for Commencement exercises.

The one-hour school receptions allowed students to introduce parents to faculty mentors, laugh with friends and recognize the people who helped make the last four years possible. 

The professor of economics and director of the Business Fellows program is recognized for excellece in teaching, scholarship, student mentoring and institutional leadership.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· senior Austin Rhoads, who graduates this spring with degrees in international business and marketing, hopes to use his own business startup experience to help a technology firm create jobs for a city growing its entrepreneurial reputation.
