Elon Law Leadership Fellows selected

Twelve members of the Class of 2012 have been selected as ��޹��Ʒ School of Law's first Leadership Fellows. The fellows were chosen for having demonstrated exceptional leadership in community, collegiate, military, or other service, and for expressing interest in further study of leadership in relation to the law.

Helen Grant co-authors new edition of popular Australian casebook on the law of torts

In the tenth edition of "Torts: Commentary and Materials," published by Thomson Reuters in July of 2009, Elon Law professor Helen Grant joins three Australian legal scholars to present a contemporary casebook on torts, discussing both traditional concepts as well as modern developments.

Steven Friedland co-authors book for lawyers enrolled in U.S. Master of Laws programs

In the book "Overview of U.S. Law," published this year by Lexis Nexis, Elon Law professor Steven Friedland joined a number of law professors to write a text introducing lawyers from around the world to the U.S. legal system.

Spring 09: Elon awards honorary doctorate to alumnus Noel Allen

Noel Lee Allen, a 1969 Elon alumnus whose distinguished legal career has won international accolades, received an honorary doctor of humane letters during ��޹��Ʒ’s Convocation for Honors on March 31. The degree was conferred by President Leo M. Lambert and presented by John G. Sullivan, professor emeritus of philosophy.

Catherine Ross Dunham, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at ��޹��Ʒ School of Law, dissects the evolutionary path of personal jurisdiction from its Pennoyer v. Neff roots, to the contemporary e-jurisdiction issues raised in Zippo Manufacturing Co. v. Zippo Dot Com., in her article published in the Winter 2009 edition of the University of San Francisco Law Review.
