More than 80 current and prospective law students attended the fourth annual Diversity Day at Elon Law on February 26. Prospective students were able to learn more about what it takes to be admitted and to succeed in law school and about the opportunities that lawyers have to serve society throughout their careers.

One hundred and thirty students, representing 59 undergraduate institutions, 30 majors, 18 states, a foreign country, and an array of professional backgrounds, have joined Elon Law as the Class of 2014. The university welcomed the class through a convocation ceremony featuring remarks by James G. Exum, Jr., former chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court and distinguished jurist in residence at Elon Law.

The National Jurist ranked ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· School of Law #1 in the nation for the smallest class sizes for first-year law students.

In "The Elon Law Difference" video series, students and faculty describe the law school's personalized and supportive learning environment, integrated approach to career and professional development, emphasis on skills development and hands-on learning, and leadership and preceptor programs.

The Elon Law Leadership Fellows invite you to an evening with Olympic Bobsledder Emily Azevedo.

Elon Law students are invited to meet with members of the faculty for an information and Q&A session on fall semester clinic and externship opportunities. This forum will take place Tuesday, March 12 from 12:15 to 12:50 in Room 105. Pizza will be served.

Attorney Kearns Davis of Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP will be the featured speaker at this forum. The event is scheduled for 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. in Room 206 of the law school.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· School of Law's Leadership Fellows hosted a second annual Leadership Academy on February 16, welcoming ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows to collaborate in the examination of global problems and local solutions.

Legal scholar Judd Epstein, from Monash Law School in Melbourne, Australia, recently visited Elon Law to provide an international perspective on mediation and alternative dispute resolution for third-year law students.
