As a precaution against the spread of COVID-19, Elon has transitioned to virtual programming for its 2020 First-Year Summer Experience programs.

The local minister formed a community partnership with Elon’s Assistant Professor of Philosophy Lauren Guilmette and the Alamance Resiliency Coalition to provide resources to help the older populations of East Burlington during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During an online ceremony, these six new Elon alumni formalized their participation in service-year programs offered by Elon in partnership with local organizations. Six fellows who have completed their year of service were also recognized.
