Environmental Studies students partner with local small business, Kindred Seedlings Farm, in a community-engaged course this spring to help break ground on a new agricultural endeavor.

Garcia’s study of Burlington’s bygone Black business district stemmed from the Power & Place Collaborative’s efforts to document the stories and history of Alamance County’s Black community.

These four awards recognize members of the Elon community for excellence in teaching, scholarship, civic engagement and mentoring.
