Elon faculty are at the forefront of a national effort to improve student outcomes through Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT). 

Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler, professor of psychology and director of the Center for Research on Global Engagement, was one of eight Elon faculty members featured this year in "Passionately Curious," the annual ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· President's Report. 

The new textbook leads students through inquiry exercises using Matlab and simulations. 

The article by the assistant professor of religious studies examines an Arabic text written by a Sufi Muslim scholar named SÄ«di Muḥammad al-KuntÄ«, who lived in the Sahara Desert in the 19th century. The article argues that this scholar based his family's claim to social authority on their control over powerful practices that they called "the sciences of the unseen." 

Nick Ciolkowski ’19 is among the recipients of the Lumen Prize, which provides selected students with a scholarship and celebrates their academic and creative accomplishments.

Walker Helms ’19, a political science major who double minored in sport and event management and leadership studies, from Radford, Virginia will transition to this fall and credits the Student Professional Development Center with supporting him throughout the admissions process.
