For the second consecutive year, the university has been recognized by Insight Into Academia, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for its commitment to academic excellence, belonging, and community building.

While Elon Academy students are not required to attend ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·, the Elon Class of 2029 features the most students ever from the university’s college-access program.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· is featuring a variety of photos every month to highlight the exceptional learning, work and activities of students, faculty and staff.

Seventy high schoolers will spend the next three weeks taking classes and building relationships through ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·â€™s college access and success program for academically promising students in Alamance County with a financial need or no family history of college. 

The senior from Burlington, North Carolina, will become the first Elon student to graduate after completing three signature programs designed to increase access to higher education.

During its annual President’s Reception on May 7, the Elon Academy recognized the class of Rho scholars who will be graduating from high school this spring.

The Elon Academy has existed for nearly 20 years and now a new team is working to invigorate the college access and success program’s legacy of helping students reach their full potential.

Elle Collins currently guides the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida and will join ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· in April as executive director of a campus office that helps students from all backgrounds thrive in higher education.
