Proceeds from the gift will fund life-changing scholarships that serve students with high financial need in Elon’s Odyssey Program. These scholarships are among the top priorities of the upcoming Elon LEADS Campaign, the largest fundraising campaign in the university’s history.

The social gathering space for Elon fans is made possible through generous gifts from Glen Raven Inc. and Elon Trustee Allen E. Gant Jr. and his wife, Denise. The club's official opening is for the Elon men's basketball game against the University of North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 9.

The generous gift from Elon Trustee Louis DeJoy and his wife, Dr. Aldona Wos, of Greensboro, North Carolina, will assist students with exceptional ability and high financial need from Title I schools in Guilford County.

The gifts from Don Chaplin and Andy Hunt, of Burlington, North Carolina, were inspired by Elon’s commitment to building an inclusive and welcoming campus community.

Holzapfel from Chapel Hill, North Carolina shares how his Elon Engagement Scholarship and experience in the School of Communications have fueled his passion for a career in sports broadcasting.

The ceremony Wednesday offered a look ahead at the new student gathering space now being built within the Historic Neighborhood thanks to the generosity of Gail H. LaRose '64 and her daughter, Elon trustee Michelle LaRose. 

Elon President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallion to two retired faculty members and two steadfast supporters of the university during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized four named professorships during the event. 

Members of Parents Council have also developed strong ties to ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· through association with the Love School of Business.

The Morris-Miller Endowment for Learning will ensure the new Koenigsberger Learning Center has the most up-to-date assistive learning technology into the future.

As a first-generation college student, Chris Baker G’88 of Burlington, North Carolina, understands the importance of providing scholarships for Elon students.
