Ryan Kupperman ’25, Erin Martin ’25 and Abby Gravely ’27 – all three members of Elon News Network – headed to Chicago this week to chronicle the events leading up to Vice President Kamala Harris formally accepting the Democratic presidential nomination.

Current Elon students offer words of wisdom to the Class of 2028, which arrives on campus on Friday, Aug. 23.

Seven ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· faculty members were honored with endowed professorships during the Opening Day ceremony on Monday, Aug. 19. Each faculty member was recognized for their passion in their field, commitment to students and service to the university.

Fentuo Tahiru spent his senior year at Elon before graduating from the University of Ghana. He is one of that nation’s leading sports broadcasters and was featured by Raleigh, North Carolina’s WRAL this week.

In recent months, the assistant professor of communication design has published and presented research examining how to communicate algorithmic bias through training data, how patients view their interactions with individualizing AI doctors, and how users perceive autoplay features on video platforms.

With support from a $8,500 scholarship, the cinema and television arts BFA major will continue their academic pursuits at one of the world’s top film schools.
