The School of Communications notches four national wins and two national finalist nods in Mark of Excellence competition.

Junior journalism major Tommy Hamzik was recognized for his story chronicling the death of an Elon football player and subsequent reaction from the campus and community.

Atoria Mills ’17 and Bryan Anderson ’18 will earn summer grants and scholarships. 

Parsons and new president Peter Bhatia, who is editor of The Cincinnati Enquirer, will begin their roles in September.

Kathleen Parker, a syndicated columnist and popular commentator on news shows, will give the Baird Pulitzer Prize Lecture on Oct. 4.

During their annual Capstone Exhibition, students in ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s Interactive Media master's program will present their semester-long projects on May 18 to local professionals, faculty, family and friends.

Members of the “Facilities and Venue Management” course, offered by the Department of Sport and Event Management, and Student United Way chapter volunteered this semester with several United Way of Alamance County events.

The School of Communications chapter of Lambda Pi Eta hosted a May 4 induction ceremony, with Associate Professor Naeemah Clark serving as the event’s keynote speaker.
