After a trip to Ecuador, two ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· students, Bernardo Vargas-Lopez and Juan Daniel Chiriboga, began building YAPA, a plant-based energy drink shaped by friendship, curiosity and mentorship.

Three members of the class of 2026 and two members of the class of 2025 have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities to teach English, conduct research or attend graduate school in more than 140 countries. One member of the class of 2026 was selected as an alternate.

Hyemin Im ’27 didn't know ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· existed until a friend suggested she take a tour. It was the promise of hands-on experience that drew her in, and a life-changing scholarship that made her stay.

The Broadcast Education Association once again ranked ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· among the nation’s top programs, marking the institution’s fifth consecutive year inside the top 10.

After graduation, Selikoff hopes to build a career in sports media, communications or event operations. Whatever path she ultimately takes, she leaves Elon with the kind of hands-on experience many young professionals spend years trying to find.
