Assistant Professor David Bockino and 14 students in his Through the Lens of ESPN class enjoyed an expansive media tour in the Northeast, visiting ESPN, Fox Sports, DAZN and the NHL, before making their way south to examine sports outlets, athletic venues and South American culture in Argentina.

Published in December by Routledge, “The Golden Age of Data: Media Analytics in Study & Practice” features research and contributions from several School of Communications faculty members and alumni.

Recent graduates Makenzie Kent, Ian Kunsey and Hannah Sobieski had their film selected for three film festivals this fall.

In its most recent edition, the nation’s first and only undergraduate research journal in communications delves into an array of media-related topics, including how organizations use social media to engage consumers and cultivate support for causes.

The School of Communications internship director is set to retire on Dec. 13 concluding an 11-year tenure spent preparing �������޹�����Ʒ students for professional work experiences.

After screening her feature film, “The Limits of My World,” on campus, Cassano spoke with students in the elondocs production program and attended School of Communications classes.

During the two-day trip, 36 School of Communications students visited media outlets and Elon alumni in Atlanta as part of their first-year fellows experience.

The Elon alumna will receive the award on Thursday, Nov. 7, and screen her feature-length documentary, “The Limits of My World.”

Fifty-seven students are gaining valuable camera and editing skills this fall through the accelerated training program offered to first-year students.
