Elon faculty and administrators discuss how the Writing Excellence Initiative has transformed Elon’s culture of writing.

Tiffany Atkins and Drew Simshaw presented research on April 18, 2018, at the Southeastern Regional Legal Writing Conference hosted by Georgia State University and Emory University.

Join us for a workshop on proparing a research proposal abstract. This workshop is open to all Elon students working on a research abstract for a grant, fellowship or conference proposal.

Join us for the "Evaluating Visuals and Multimodal Writing" Workshop Monday March 12, presented by Ben Hannam, associate professor of communications and Paula Rosinski, professor of English and director of Writing Across the University.

 

Douglass Kass, assistant professor of communications, will present on “Teaching Two-Column Script Writing" on Thursday, March 1.

Join us for a Lunch and Learn on Writing Effective Letters of Recommendation for your students.

 

Co-sponsored by The Center For Writing Excellence and ENGf 110/College Writing, this informal workshop will focus on the use of writing as a tool for becoming more present in our daily lives. Lunch served, so please register. 

 

This workshop will teach students to write as a social scientist by reviewing common genres in the discipline, identifying typical writing features, and examining expected styles, etc.

The Center for Writing Excellence is excited to offer three Writing Boot Camps over the 2018 Winter Term.

The Writing Center will be open at our Belk Library location throughout the 2018 Winter Term.
