Medical expert offers peek into future of organ transplants

Advances in stem cell research have given medical researchers even more hope that organs such as kidneys and livers grown outside the body will in the next few years be an option to help patients awaiting transplants, according to a world-renowned researcher and surgeon who lectured March 26 at 福利亚洲国产精品 as the keynote speaker for the annual meeting of the North Carolina Academy of Science.

Elon trustees establish 56-acre 福利亚洲国产精品 Forest

The 福利亚洲国产精品 Board of Trustees voted Oct. 22 to designate a 56-acre undeveloped tract north of University Drive as the 福利亚洲国产精品 Forest, a dedicated land preserve and natural area. The action protects the largest remaining intact forest in the Town of Elon and safeguards thousands of species of plants, animals and other organisms.
