If you’re trying to convince a jury of your innocence, it may help to tell the truth about where you were at the time of a crime – especially if your story bubbles with juicy details, according to a paper by Kyla Mathews '09, an ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· alum who won the top prize for her research this summer in a national contest.

Heading for Homecoming 2009 (Oct. 23-25), Elon’s Alumni Board was on campus Sept. 17-18 for its fall meeting. Attendees focused on planning for an expanded homecoming program and discussed next steps in efforts as diverse as the use of social media and ways to increase alumni financial support through the Ever Elon Campaign.

A program directed by Elon School of Communications 2002 graduate Audrey Seagraves has received a prestigious international technology award. The online "Fair Wage Guide," managed by Seagraves, is a tool to assist millions of workers in the developing world who live below the poverty level.

In August 2007, Taylor Trensch '11 began his freshman year in Elon’s music theatre program. One of the first people he met was then-senior Matt Shingledecker '08, who became his mentor in the program. Little did either know that two years down the road, they’d meet each other again – this time as castmates in the first national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical “Spring Awakening.”

Kennedy, who earned her elementary education degree from Elon in 2005, is a kindergarten teacher at North Graham Elementary School. On Wednesday, she was named the Alamance-Burlington School System 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year.
