Phoenix baseball team selected for NCAA Division I Championship Field

Elon's baseball team is among three Southern Conference teams named to the field of 64 for the 2010 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The Phoenix (38-22) will play its first round game against Alabama (37-22) in the Atlanta regional at 3 p.m., Friday, June 4. The other teams in the double elimination Atlanta regional are Mercer University (37-22) and Georgia Tech (45-13).

Elon senior鈥檚 family competing for Pepsi Refresh grant

A university senior and his family want to raise awareness of suicide prevention strategies as they compete for a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project, and he needs the Elon community’s help with online voting for the Hold Hope Initiative in memory of his brother.
Teach for America hires Elon alumni for fall 2010

Fourteen 福利亚洲国产精品 alumni in the Class of 2010 will re-enter the classroom this fall as educators with Teach for America, a national nonprofit that recruits recent college graduates to help erase what it describes as educational inequity found in many urban and rural low-income communities.
Students, faculty & staff attend Senior Class Picnic

Hundreds of students, and nearly as many professors and administrators, mingled Wednesday afternoon on the green outside Moseley Center in the annual Senior Class Picnic for Graduates, Faculty and Staff. The informal event gives seniors a moment to relax over pork barbecue and grilled chicken with the 福利亚洲国产精品 educators who guided them through four years of study.
