Edward and Joan Doherty of Saddle River, New Jersey, have made a gift to provide scholarships for talented scholars who need financial assistance.

Anna Baynes '18 turned to the Student Professional Development Center seeking help with a career path, with staff helping her explore work in sustainable agriculture. 

Nicole Doolen '17 is among the recipients of the Lumen Prize, which provides selected students with a $15,000 scholarship to support and celebrates their academic and creative achievements.

The honor is bestowed upon colleges with an exceptional commitment to sustainability based on their academic offerings and career preparation for students, campus policies, initiatives, and activities. 

Twelve years before MacKenzie Walsh ’20, a first-year strategic communications major, set foot on campus, she entered and won a children’s drawing contest to support her aspirations to one day attend college.

The Class of 2020 gathered in Alumni Gym on Thursday, Sept. 15, to make a commitment to the values upon which the Elon Honor Code is based.

U.S. News & World Report lists Elon as the nation’s only university recognized for excellence in all eight academic programs that lead to student success.

 

The 2017 edition of “The Best 381 Colleges” guide recognizes Elon’s study abroad, career services, performing arts and several other programs.

The year's class of first-year students is the largest and most diverse in Elon's history.
