Hundreds of Elon students will be involved in activities during CELEBRATE! 2015, a celebration of achievements in academics and creative endeavors that culminates with the university's second annual extravaganza of the arts & sciences.

While attending the four-day Durham festival, students in ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s documentary production program screened films from around the world, attended filmmaker events and panels, and met award-winning documentarians.

With a focus on Zambia, 32 freshmen will spend the next three years taking classes that culminate in a project of social change as part of a program aimed at developing in students a deep sense of global citizenship.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer is hosting its third annual relay on April 24 to benefit the American Cancer Society while honoring the memories of those who died from the disease.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· junior Helen Meskhidze received a scholarship through the national Society of Physics Students.

Scores of ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· students took part Friday afternoon in the Hindu festival of Holi, a celebration of color that ushers in the season while marking the triumph of good over evil.
