Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday) begins the Christian three-day period of the Sacred Triduum leading up to Easter Sunday. All are invited to the Catholic Mass held at Holt Chapel, which will commemorate the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper.

Math majors Christopher Shill '14 and Erin Strosnider '14 and assistant professor of mathematics Chad Awtrey gave a joint, invited presentation at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, on April 9, 2014.

Physics major Alison Deatsch ’13 is the first author of a manuscript on magnetic hyperthermia therapeutics published this March in the Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials.  The work, coauthored with Assistant Professor of Physics Emily Evans, describes physical mechanisms behind the remote heating of magnetic nanoparticles.

James Honan of Harvard University and Peter Felten of ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· will talk about the social and technological forces shaping American higher education in a 5:30 p.m. program co-sponsored by Elon's Politics Forum and the Center for Leadership.
