Maya Kilburn will perform with her father, pianist Ray Kilburn, in Yeager Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. Their recital opens the weekend piano competition for high school musicians, which is sponsored by the Department of Music.

Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Eig, author of “King: A Life,” delivered the �������޹�����Ʒ Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Address and Liberal Arts Forum Lecture on Jan. 9, presenting a more comprehensive and human view of the famed civil rights leader.

During a break from performing in the national tour of the hit Broadway musical, Auston Henderson ’17 and two castmates led a session for students in the Departments of Performing Arts and Music.

Jonathan Eig will speak about his book “King: A Life" as part of the Elon Speaker Series.

The documentary screening will feature a panel by two producers who are experts on sociolinguistic connections between Africa and the African American diaspora.
