Elon men's tennis standout Damon Gooch, the first Elon tennis player to compete in the NCAA Division I singles championship, staged an upset win in the May 20 first-round match at College Station, Texas.

The weather was perfect, right down to the light breeze that stirred the balloon entryway. Hundreds of Elon seniors gathered for one last informal event Wednesday afternoon during the annual “Salute Your Seniors” Senior Class Picnic with faculty and staff on the Green outside of Moseley Center.

Commencement 2009 exercises will be streamed LIVE via Elon's Web site. The undergraduate Commencement video stream will start at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 23. The �������޹�����Ʒ School of Law video stream will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 24.
