Hundreds of students participated in Zumba during year's Relay for Life. 
Throughout the night members of more than 40 teams from all types of student organizations and sports teams along with groups of friends will take turns walking to represent how cancer never sleeps. Participants will be kept entertained by eating competitions, Elon a capella groups, zumba, bingo, sunrise yoga and more.There will also be numerous inspiring stories from cancer survivors and caregivers throughout the night to remind everyone why they have dedicated a Friday night to such a worthy cause. 

A luminaria ceremony takes place at 11 p.m. to grieve for loved ones lost to cancer and for survivors to reflect on their cancer experiences. The PARC will be lined with luminaria bags dedicated to the loved ones of Elon students, faculty and staff.

Participants donating their hair at last year's Relay to Pantene Beautiful Lengths to be made in to wigs for cancer patients. 
In addition to supporting cancer research, funds raised will help provide people with tools for cancer prevention, round-the-clock psychological services and access to treatment centers with transportation and lodging. Since the start of the event five years ago, Colleges Against Cancer has raised over $240,000 for the American Cancer Soceity.

Those interested can register or donate online at . Registration is $15 and those wishing to participate can also register at the door on Friday. All contributions will be much appreciated as the Elon community tries to reach their goal of $100,000.
