MLK Movie and Dialogue: “One Dream Can Change the World” with the movie SELMA

6 p.m., Center for Race, Ethnicity & Diversity Education (Second floor of Moseley Center)

SELMA is the story of a movement. The film chronicles the tumultuous three-month period in 1965, when King led a dangerous campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition. The epic march from Selma to Montgomery culminated in President Lyndon B. Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965, one of the most significant victories for the civil rights movement. The Center for Race, Ethnicity & Diversity Education invites all students to sign up to view and discussion about the movie. Email Carla Fullwood at cfullwood@elon.edu to register.
