Basketball vs. UT-Martin Feb. 23

Tomorrow night (Saturday) the Elon Men’s Basketball team hosts UT-Martin in the ESPNU Bracketbusters game in “The Nest” at 7:00 pm.

The sixth annual O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters event, a two-day men’s college basketball extravaganza pitting potential NCAA Tournament hopefuls against each other on Feb. 22-23, will feature 14 nationally televised games–on either ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN360.com or ESPN Classic–selected from a pool of 100 teams.

Coming off the team’s double overtime thriller Wednesday night against Charleston, the team is gaining momentum and ready to go win the SoCon championship!

Please come out to support the team tomorrow night. We have not done a good job of giving the team the home-court advantage much this year. Let’s Burn Up The Nest and stuff the gym.. we owe it to the guys.

If you come to every men’s basketball game or have never been to one, we urge you to come out to the “Nest’ this Wednesday (1/9) at 8:45 pm to witness one of the most storied rivalries in Southern Conference sports.

Elon will be hosting the Davidson Wildcats in a televised contest (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network). We need to see everyone there so we can pack the NEST. Wear your maroon or Phanatics shirt and sit in the student section to get your face on TV.

Phoenix Phanatics general body meeting on Oct. 18

Phoenix Phanatics will hold its second general body meeting Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Gym.

We will discuss basketball committee signups, the upcoming basketball season, and give out shirts for those who haven’t gotten one yet.

For all members, don’t forget your to-date “Phoenix Phlyer Miles” number on a piece of paper with your name on it!

It’s not too late to join! If you are still interested in becoming one of the infamous Phanatics, bring $30 with you to the meeting on Thursday and sign up.

Weekly Coach’s Show every Tuesday starting Aug. 28

Join head coach Pete Lembo and Voice of the Phoenix David Hibbard every Tuesday night at Sal’s Italian Restaurant, Huffman Mill Road, Burlington for “The Elon Phoenix Football Radio Show”. The show starts at 7pm each Tuesday night. During the hour, David and Coach Lembo will discuss the previous week’s game, upcoming action and they will dive deep into the stats and plays that make up Phoenix Football.

If you cannot make it to Sal’s, listen live on 920am, WPCM or on-line at www.elonphoenix.com.

The first show is Tuesday, August 28 and the show will run every week through Tuesday, November 13.
