The Tunnel of Oppression is an interactive program that examines stereotypes, biases, and discrimination in our society. As participants journey through the tunnel, their thoughts, beliefs, and actions will be challenged. They will be encouraged to think about the ways their actions perpetuate inequalities based on race, gender, religion, sex, ability, sexual orientation, appearance, and class. The goal of the program is to raise awareness and inspire social change within our campus community. This event is open to the campus community. All are welcomed. See you there!

Women’s Empowerment and Public Health : Lessons from Smisha Agarwal

Smisha Agarwal, founder of Global Health Bridge, discusses her experiences merging women’s empowerment and public health issues and her role in the Comprehensive Rural Health Project in rural India. She will be discussing at length her experience as a female leader and the women’s issues she has witnessed worldwide.

A strong candidate is a person that has a passion for helping others, is a strong leader, is able to work well with a team and is committed to the development of first year students.  ALL ARE WELCOMED TO APPLY!

Are you looking for a summer job that is fun and challenging? Or maybe you are looking for a new summer experience? Working for summer conferences may be the answer. Residence Life is currently looking for enthusiastic people who would love a fun new experience as Summer Assistants for the upcoming summer. This position gives students the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks with a variety of people. As a Summer Assistant, you will assist in preparing for upcoming summer conferences and events. You will also help provide support to visitors and guests with tasks such as checking in arriving guests and providing Customer Service during their conferences or events. Our SAs will also have the opportunity of helping Residence Life with opening for the new school year by assisting with the Early Arrival desk.
