Students will refine and further develop leadership skills through the Phase. Leaders who are aware of their thoughts, feelings, strengths and weaknesses are well prepared to succeed in a variety of leadership roles and experiences.

Emerging Leaders will develop skills that include being proactive, setting and achieving personal goals, managing time and stress, assessing leadership styles, thinking critically and ethically, acting with integrity, and striving for personal mastery.

The successful participant will:

  • Attend six leadership workshops
  • Participate in 20 hours of service
  • Attend six programming events
  • Join a campus organization
  • Shadow two campus leaders
  • Attend group discussions each semester with Phase III Leaders.

Upcoming workshops include Isabella Cannon 101 on Oct. 4, and Intro to Covey on Oct. 6. Visit the Center for Leadership in Moseley 224 for more information.

A facilitator’s role is more than just taking a group out on the ropes course to have fun; it extends through the growth and learning groups experience during their time on the course.

Applications are available in the Center for Leadership, located in 224 Moseley Center. 

Please return applications to the Center for Leadership by 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, and sign up for an interview time.
